- 500 g beetroot
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 lemon(s)
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp butter
- some oil
- 1 tsp sugar

Cook the beetroot unpeeled until tender, let it cool, peel, and grate. Peel the onion and fry it in a little oil. Then add the beetroot and fry briefly. Add the butter and season with the lemon, salt, sugar, and pepper. The lemon’s acidity should come through well. Tip: You can also use vinegar instead of the lemon, but use a little more sparingly. You can also use cooked beetroot.
