  • 140 g flour
  • 75 g cornstarch (cornflour)
  • 170 g powdered sugar

makes about 42 pieces

Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Combine the flour and cornstarch and beat in, mixing well. Wrap the mixture first in plastic wrap, then in aluminum foil, and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C. Form the cooled mixture into 2.5 cm balls, place them about 5 cm apart on ungreased baking sheets, and bake for about 10 minutes, until firm to the touch and golden in color. Allow to cool slightly on the sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. For the glaze, mix the ingredients together and spread over the cooled Melting Moments; allow to dry slightly before storing them in loosely sealed containers (place paper between the layers).
