high in calories but delicious
Here’s how it’s done: Crumble the pumpernickel into very small pieces (best done with a Moulinette). Finely grate the chocolate and mix with the pumpernickel. Stir in a GOOD shot of rum. Mix 1 packet of pudding powder with a little cherry juice, bring the cherries WITH the remaining juice to a boil and thicken with the mixed pudding powder. Mix the quark with a little vanilla sugar until smooth. Prepare the remaining 2 packets of vanilla pudding with milk and sugar according to the package instructions and let cool. Layer all of the prepared ingredients in a tall bowl. A glass bowl is best so that you can see the individual layers clearly. The first layer is quark, then follow: 2. pumpernickel mixture, 3. cherries 4. vanilla pudding 5. pumpernickel mixture, 6. quark 7. cherries 8. vanilla pudding…… and the last layer is quark again. Decorate this with a few cherries. In any case, let the quark dish sit overnight in the fridge!
