Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg white cabbage
- 2 carrots
- 200 ml mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or light balsamic vinegar
- 4 tbsp sugar, white
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 80 ml sweet cream

American white cabbage salad
Clean the white cabbage. Peel the carrot. Grate the white cabbage and carrot into rice-sized pieces using a vegetable grater. Peel the onion and finely chop, but do not grate. Combine the white cabbage, carrots, and all other ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours. Season with sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, and cream to taste and mix well before serving. The salad can also be prepared a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator. It will keep for 2-3 days and tastes great with grilled food.
