Canadian curry chicken with penne and maple syrup

This delicious recipe comes straight from the kitchen of a Canadian restaurant. Prepare the penne according to the package instructions. Finely chop the onions and garlic. Dice the chicken breast. Cut the bell peppers into small pieces. Sauté the onions and garlic in a large pan. Add the butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil and cook for 2 minutes over medium heat. Then add the curry powder and cook for 1 minute. Add the sugar and simmer until the sugar begins to caramelize. Now add the maple syrup and cook for 1 minute. Then add the cream and chicken stock and simmer until the mixture has reduced by about half. Then add the bell peppers and set the sauce aside. Now brown the meat in the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add the meat to the sauce and let it stand for 2 minutes. Then add the cream cheese and stir well until everything is combined. Finally, add the penne and let everything simmer briefly.
