American Chocolate Fudge Brownies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 280 g butter
  • 400 g dark chocolate
  • 500 g sugar
  • 2 vanilla pods, the pulp
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tbsp water, warm
  • 2 tsp espresso powder, instant
  • 200 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Beat room-temperature butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the 4 eggs and mix well. Split the vanilla pods lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and add to the egg mixture along with a pinch of salt. Cut the dark chocolate into pieces, melt them in a double boiler, and then let them cool for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the espresso powder with 4 tablespoons of warm water and add them to the egg mixture. Combine the flour and cocoa powder thoroughly and add them to the mixture. Mix everything well until smooth and then pour into a large springform pan (26 cm, 28 cm). Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 45-50 minutes on the middle rack.
