Tofu skewers with wasabi

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200g tofu
  • 4 tsp wasabi paste (tube)
  • n. B. garlic
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 2 large mushrooms (giant mushrooms)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Tofu with a twist

Cut the tofu into medium-sized cubes. Now add 4 teaspoons (or to taste) of wasabi paste to a small bowl. Add salt and pepper (don’t be sparing with the amount). If you want to add garlic, peel it, press it in a garlic press, and add it to the wasabi mixture. Now cut the washed zucchini, the cleaned bell pepper, and the cleaned mushrooms into cubes similar in size to the tofu. Then add the tofu cubes to the wasabi mixture and give them a light wasabi massage so that the tofu is generously coated. Then let it sit for 45 minutes. Perhaps put it in the refrigerator, where it will be safe from those nasty flies. After 45 minutes, you can start making shish kebabs (ideally alternating vegetables and tofu—depending on your taste). Now everything is ready to fry or grill and can be prepared accordingly, as needed.
