Pear Brownies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg pear(s), not too firm
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 180 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 20 g cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 200 g walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 5 tbsp milk or cream
  • 80 g apricot jam
  • 100 g dark chocolate coating

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

delicious, compact chocolate cake with pears

Preheat the oven to 190°C (top/bottom heat, fan oven: 170°C). Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Peel and quarter the pears, and drizzle with lemon juice. Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Mix the remaining ingredients well and fold in the egg mixture. Pour the batter into a brownie pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Warm the jam and pour it over the cake. Melt the dark chocolate and drizzle it in a thin stream over the cake in a zigzag pattern.
