Barbecue spare ribs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup tomato ketchup
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tbsp mustard
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 kg ribs (spare ribs, spare ribs)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely chop the onions and fry in hot oil until translucent. Remove the pan from the heat and add all the other ingredients, except the spare ribs. Bring to a boil while stirring, then simmer gently for about 30 minutes. Cut the spare ribs into pieces and place them all in a baking dish. Place the ribs in a preheated oven at 250°C for 10-15 minutes. Then add the prepared BBQ sauce. Cover as many of the spare ribs as possible with the sauce. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Then place in the oven at 200°C for 1 hour. Remove the aluminum foil 15 minutes before the end of the baking time. Serve with baked potatoes, which conveniently have room in the oven.
