Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 7 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 220 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 280 g sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 7 tsp cocoa powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preparation: Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in cocoa powder and 1/8 liter water. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl, mix with sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Split open the vanilla pod, scrape out the seeds, and add (I’ve also reduced the sugar and used vanilla sugar). Thoroughly mix the cocoa butter, eggs, and cream with the flour. Pour the batter into the pan (I use a 26 cm springform pan, or a loaf pan for cakes) and bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes (use a toothpick to test the doneness!). For the glaze, combine the powdered sugar with 5 tablespoons of water, melt the butter, add the cocoa powder and powdered sugar, and mix thoroughly. Cover the cake with the glaze.
