Cranberry sauce with maple syrup

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g cranberries, fresh
  • 225 ml syrup (maple syrup)
  • 225 ml water
  • ¼ tsp allspice, ground or wild berries

Instructions

for Thanksgiving – turkey

Combine berries, maple syrup, and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then simmer over medium-low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently, until the berries have burst and a thick sauce forms. Season with allspice. Serve the sauce at room temperature. It’s best made a few hours in advance to allow the flavors to meld.
