Juicy beef burgers

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg minced beef
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 1 ½ tbsp smoked salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 ½ tbsp smoked paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp black pepper, ground
  • 250 g bacon, sliced (2 packs)
  • oil
  • possibly cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Mix the first 6 ingredients well and season to taste, using a little less salt at first, then more if necessary. Roll the mixture into a 5 cm diameter roll and cut into 8 slices (approx. 2 cm thick). Wrap each slice around the edge with 2 slices of bacon. Fry the burgers in a little oil in a pan for about 3 minutes on each side and then cook in the oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. If you want cheeseburgers, I add slices of raclette cheese after about 10 minutes in the oven. Serve either as is or as a hamburger on a bun with onions, pickles, etc. An alternative to grilling: Pre-cook in the oven for about 20 minutes and then briefly return to the grill. Note: This recipe assumes 2 burgers per person (250 g of meat each). For light eaters, it can also serve 6-8 people!
