Tuna Steak with French Fries, Vegetables and Wasabe Sambal

The perfect tuna steak with french fries, vegetables and wasabe sambal recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the sambal:

  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil, light
  • 160 g French fries, TK
  • 40 g Runner beans, green
  • 40 g Carrot
  • 40 g Cauliflower florets
  • 6 tbsp Kecap Tim Ikan, (see attachment)
  • 2 tbsp Wasabi, (paste in a tube, see appendix)

Also:

  • 1,5 liter Frying oil
  • 3 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp Flour for dusting
  1. Rinse the fillets and dry them well. Rub with lemon juice, a pinch of salt and pepper. Thaw the french fries in the package. Clean the beans and cut them in half crosswise. Wash and peel a carrot and cut into 6cm long and 5x5mm thick sticks. Separate the florets from the cauliflower and wash.
  2. Heat the frying oil to 200 degrees and lightly salted water to 100 degrees. Mix the ingredients for the sambal homogeneously.
  3. Rub the fillets with the sesame oil, dust with the flour and simmer in the sunflower oil in a pan over medium heat. Turn several times! Blanch the vegetables for 3 minutes and put them on the serving plates without quenching. Deep-fry the French fries light yellow, season with salt and place on the serving plates. Add the just-done fried fillets, serve with the sambal and enjoy.
