Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 liter of water
  • 8 tsp, heaped tea (Thai tea), ground
  • 1 cup sugar
  • n. B. ice cubes
  • e.g. lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Iced tea with original Thai tea

Make a strong tea from 1 liter of water and about 8 heaped teaspoons of Thai tea blend, then let it steep for 4-5 minutes. Add the sugar; the amount can be adjusted or replaced with sweetener as needed. Fill a tall 2-liter pitcher a little more than halfway with ice cubes, pour the hot tea over the ice cubes, and stir well. Add lemon juice (from the bottle to prevent the tea from becoming cloudy), if desired. This makes about 2 liters of tea; it will already be ice-cold and ready to enjoy. Its distinctive features include its slightly smoky flavor and wonderful orange color. In Thailand, people like to vary the tea by using condensed milk instead of lemon; it’s a matter of taste.
