Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
makes about 27 cookies
Preheat the oven to 190°C (gas mark 5). Using a hand mixer, cream the butter with eggs, white and brown sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Then add the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix everything into a smooth dough. For chocolate cookies, simply melt dark chocolate (200 to 250 grams is best for the entire dough) and mix well with the dough. Then stir in chopped nuts or chocolate chips, etc., as desired (it’s best to make a maximum of three varieties; each will yield nine large cookies). From experience, the chocolate dough will be a bit crumbly, and these cookies will also look different, but of course, the taste won’t be affected. Using two tablespoons, drop small mounds onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Note: Leave enough space between the mounds of dough (maximum nine mounds per baking sheet)! Bake for 8-10 minutes. The cookies should still be soft in the center; they will harden as they cool. Best enjoyed warm, but be careful: risk of stomach pain!
