Independence Day Cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 225 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • some bitter almond flavor
  • 175 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 100 g almonds (sticks)
  • 200 g chocolate, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

makes about 80 pieces

Preheat oven to 170°C (top and bottom heat). Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, stir in vanilla and almond extract. Add flour and baking soda, then stir in chocolate and almonds. Drop small spoonfuls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool briefly, then remove from the baking sheet and let cool on a wire rack. Makes about 80 cookies! These cookies helped me achieve a huge success in a presentation in English class—but I’m sure they’d be great for anything else!
