Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ¼ tsp salt (onion salt)
- ¼ tsp ground red pepper
- 240 g walnuts or pecans, halved

spicy snack nuts according to an original American recipe
In a non-stick pan, combine the butter, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Heat until the butter melts, then stir thoroughly with the spices. Immediately remove the pan from the heat and briefly toss the nuts in the spice mixture. Then place the nuts in a large casserole dish (or baking sheet lined with baking paper) and drizzle with the remaining spice-butter mixture from the pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 12-15 minutes, turning frequently. Then let the nuts cool on aluminum foil, etc. Always make sure that the nuts are not stacked on top of each other or touching each other! Once cooled, store in an airtight container.
