Bacon and onion muffin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 150 g bacon, chopped or ham cubes
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 300 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 75 ml milk
  • 200 g sour cream
  • sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

American muffins

Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit). Grease muffin tins or line with paper baking cups. Fry the onion and bacon in oil until translucent, taking care not to overbrown the onion. Let cool. Combine flour with baking powder and salt. In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and sour cream, then add the bacon and onion mixture. Pour in the flour and mix briefly. Pour batter into muffin tins and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes.
