Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 onions
- 1 bunch of spring onions
- 2 tomatoes
- 250 g mushrooms
- ½ bunch parsley, chopped
- 1 bunch chives, chopped
- 4 pork schnitzels
- 350 g Mett (pork)
- 200 g cheese (Gouda), sliced
- 200 g whipped cream
- 1 pack of sauce powder (hunter’s sauce)
- salt, pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings. Line a greased ovenproof dish with the onions. Clean and wash the spring onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Cut the spring onions into rings and the tomatoes and mushrooms into slices. Wash and finely chop the herbs. Wash the schnitzel and season with salt and pepper. Place the schnitzel on the onions. Spread the minced meat on top. Top with the spring onions, tomatoes, half of the herbs, and the mushrooms. Cover everything with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven: 250°C, fan: 225°C, gas mark 5) on the lowest rack for about 45 minutes until golden brown. Mix the cream and sauce mix and pour over the schnitzel 10 minutes before the end of the baking time. Sprinkle with the remaining herbs. Serve with roast potatoes or just a herb baguette.
