Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 m.-large cauliflower
- 450 g broccoli
- 2 carrots
- 200 g cooked ham
- 200 ml whipped cream
- 100 ml milk
- 100 g Gouda, grated
- 50 g butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Wash the cauliflower and divide it into florets, along with the broccoli. Peel and dice the carrots. Dice the ham. Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Cook the cauliflower in plenty of boiling salted water for 5 minutes. Add the broccoli and carrots, cook for another 5 minutes, drain, and let it drain. Heat the butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour, and fry over low heat, stirring, until golden brown. Slowly add the cream and milk, stirring constantly, and bring to a boil. Stir in the cheese and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Place the vegetables in a baking dish, sprinkle with the ham, and pour over the cheese sauce. Bake in the preheated oven for another 15 minutes.
