Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 800 g tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- Garlic salt, or fresh, squeezed
- 330 ml tomato ketchup
- 140 g tomato paste
- 1 cup vinegar (red wine vinegar)
- 1 lemon(s), the juice
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- Cinnamon
- Salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
In a saucepan, combine the tomatoes, oil, a little salt, and garlic salt. The garlic flavor should be prominent. Then add ketchup, tomato paste, wine vinegar, lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. The cinnamon flavor should now dominate. Simmer for about 45 minutes, until it thickens. Brush the meat with the sauce while grilling. Serve the sauce (hot or cold, as desired) as a side dish.
