Banana pudding, American style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of pudding powder (vanilla), for cooking
  • 500 ml milk
  • 3 bananas
  • 300 g biscuits (vanilla)
  • 200 ml whipped cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 30 minutes

Banana pudding with vanilla wafers

Make a pudding from the custard powder and milk with a little sugar. Stir frequently while the pudding cools to prevent a skin from forming. Slice the bananas and layer them alternately in a large bowl; start with the pudding, then the biscuits, then the bananas, and so on. Reserve a few biscuits for decoration. Finish with the pudding. Whip the cream until stiff and spread it over the pudding. Refrigerate overnight. The next day, either place the biscuits whole on top of the pudding or break them up and spread the crumbs over the cream.
