  • 6 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pack of sweets (Snickers Miniatures)

  • 150 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter, crunchy
  • 100 g dark chocolate

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

refined brownies with peanut caramel and Snickers pieces

Line a baking sheet with baking paper and place the 20 x 30 cm or 24 x 24 cm baking frame on it. For the caramel, bring the sugar and honey to a boil, deglaze with the milk and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then stir in the peanut butter and remove from the heat. Set aside. For the batter, melt the chocolate in a double boiler and stir in the butter. Meanwhile, cut all but 4 of the Snickers into small pieces. Beat the eggs with the sugar until creamy. Mix the flour with the cocoa and baking powder, stir in the chocolate mixture and fold in the Snickers pieces. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Pour the chocolate batter into the prepared baking frame and smooth it down. Spoon the caramel mixture onto the baking frame and use a fork to create spirals through the batter. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes. (The dough should still be slightly moist when tested with a skewer!) Let it cool on a wire rack. Then melt the dark chocolate and sprinkle it over the cake. Cut the remaining Snickers into slices and place them on top (cut sides facing up) as a garnish. Cut into small cubes/rectangles.
