Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
made from oat flakes and crumb dough without animal ingredients
Grease a 26 cm springform pan and chill. Mix the flour, oats, sugar, and syrup, add the oil and water, and mix everything into a smooth crumble dough. Press about 2/3 of this into the springform pan as the base, creating a raised edge of about 3 cm. Chill the springform pan and the remaining crumbles. Peel, quarter, core, and dice the apples. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Mix the applesauce with the flour. Then stir in the apple pieces. If you like, you can also season the mixture with sugar or cinnamon to make it sweeter or more aromatic. Pour the apple filling onto the prepared crust in the springform pan and spread the remaining crumbles as evenly as possible. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes. (Caution: The crumbles won’t brown quite as beautifully as regular butter crumbles; this is due to the oil—so don’t rely on the browning!)
