Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g pork belly, boneless
  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • 100 ml vinegar (palm)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 bulb(s) of onion(s)

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Filipino meat dish

Cut the pork belly into large cubes and place it in a pot, seasoning with salt and pepper. Use salt sparingly, as the soy sauce is also salty. Slice the onion into rings and add it. Pour in the soy sauce and palm vinegar and cook over medium heat for about an hour, until the meat is nice and tender. Stir occasionally and add a little more vinegar if desired. Serve with rice.
