Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) of liver, about 0.5 – 1 cm thick
  • 60 g margarine
  • 2 onions
  • 2 apples
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp sauce powder (gravy)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Salt
  • curry
  • paprika

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat the margarine in a deep frying pan. Briefly fry the liver, remove it from the pan, and set it aside. Slice the onions into rings. Peel and quarter the apples, remove the cores, and cut the apples into very thin wedges. Sauté the onions and apples for 8 minutes, adding a little water and covering the pan with the lid. Meanwhile, mix the flour, gravy powder, sour cream, and spices. Add 300 ml of water to the pan, stir in the mixture, bring to a boil briefly, season to taste, and add the liver. Simmer for 15 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and salad.
