Chops with minced meat and mustard topping

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g onion(s)
  • 125 g gherkins
  • ½ small bunch of parsley
  • 800 g pork chop(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 g minced meat, mixed
  • 250 g whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp mustard, medium hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the onions. Finely dice the onions and cucumber. Wash and chop the parsley. Wash the chops and pat dry. Heat oil in a large pan. Brown the chops vigorously on each side. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and place in a large ovenproof dish (with a lid) or in a roasting pan. Brown the minced meat in the hot frying fat until crumbly. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Stir in the cucumbers and parsley. Deglaze with 1/8 l water and cream, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 1 minute. Season with mustard, salt, and pepper. Spread the minced cream over the chops. Cover and braise in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 1 3/4 hours. Cook uncovered for the last 10-15 minutes. Serve with fried potatoes and a cold beer.
