Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 2 tbsp dill, chopped (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tbsp mint (peppermint), dried
  • ½ clove(s) garlic
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Persian cucumber yogurt

Pour the yogurt into a bowl and stir it slightly. Peel the cucumber and grate it using a grater (use the large holes). Discard the cucumber water. Mix the chopped herbs with the yogurt. Peel the garlic, press it in, and season with salt. Finally, add the drained cucumber and stir vigorously again, seasoning if necessary. Serve chilled with main courses. It can also be served as a starter with flatbread.
