Hand cheese with sour cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 12 cheeses (hand cheese)
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 300 g sour cream
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • ½ bunch of dill
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • 1 sprig(s) thyme (also works dried)
  • 1 sprig(s) marjoram (also works dried)
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Also suitable as a vegetarian dish

Slice the cheese and place it in a stoneware dish. Chop the chives, dill, and parsley. Combine the sour cream, chives, parsley, thyme, and marjoram. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar, and pour over the cheese. Refrigerate everything for at least 1 hour (or longer is better) to allow the full aroma of the herbs and spices to develop. This goes best with fresh, buttered farmhouse bread.
