Thai meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g bratwurst, fresh
  • 1 onion(s), finely diced
  • some parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • some cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 250 ml broth
  • 1 ½ tsp curry paste
  • some basil, Thai
  • 1 onion(s), quartered
  • 3 garlic cloves, quartered
  • 1 tsp, levelled sugar
  • pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with rice and sauce

For the meatballs, press the sausage meat into a bowl. Add the remaining 9 ingredients and knead well. Form the mixture into roughly tablespoon-sized balls and fry them in batches in a hot pan. For the sauce, fry the onions and garlic. Then add the curry paste and tomato paste and fry. Deglaze with the stock. Then add the basil, sugar, salt, and coconut milk and simmer for about 15 minutes. Season to taste with pepper. Arrange on plates with the fried meatballs and serve with rice.
