Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg carrot(s)
- 3 slice(s) smoked smoked pork neck
- 2 onions
- broth
- 100 ml cream
- chives
- pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- Oil, for frying
- 1 ½ kg potatoes
- Parsley
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
I (we) always do it like this: Peel the carrots and slice them. Dice the onion and cut the smoked pork into strips. Fry the smoked pork for a bit, but not too much. Add the diced onion and sauté with the smoked pork over low heat. Then add the carrot slices and sauté. Pour in the stock and season with pepper. Simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Thicken the whole thing a bit. Finally, add the chives and cream. Personally, I always round it all off with a little sugar. I usually serve it with parsley potatoes. It’s really tasty and not that much work. We have enough for four big eaters. And if there’s any leftovers, just freeze them!
