Kasseler with spring onion topping

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 Kasseler cutlets, boneless
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 150 g cream cheese with pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt and pepper, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Clean the spring onions and slice them into thin rings. Heat the oil and sear the meat vigorously for about 2 minutes per side. Place in a casserole dish. Sauté the spring onions in the hot frying fat for about 5 minutes, then remove. Mix with the cream cheese, season, and spread over the meat. Bake the smoked pork in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10 minutes. Serve with salt, fried potatoes, or simply baguette.
