Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g onion(s)
- 60 g butter
- 30 g flour
- 500 ml meat broth
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 carnations
- Salt
- Vinegar
- Sugar
Instructions

Finely dice the onions and sauté in butter until translucent. Sauté the flour in the pan, gradually adding the broth. Add the cloves and bay leaf and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture and season with salt, vinegar, and sugar. Served with boiled boiled beef, this is a Münsterland wedding feast—at least for the starter.
