Pasta with tomatoes, mozzarella and caramelized onion and garlic slices

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g pasta of your choice
  • salt water
  • some oil
  • 4 cherry tomatoes (vine tomatoes)
  • 2 balls of mozzarella
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • possibly hard cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water as usual. In the meantime, roughly dice the tomatoes and mozzarella. Cut the onions and garlic cloves into rings or slices. Sauté in a non-stick pan with oil until translucent, but do not brown. Sprinkle with sugar, stir, and remove from the heat. Arrange the tomato and mozzarella cubes in the center of the plates, top with hot pasta, and finally, the onion and garlic mixture. Mix everything together. Sprinkle with grated hard cheese, if desired, and enjoy immediately.
