Lettuce with hot bacon and buttermilk sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 2 slice(s) bacon, streaky
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 50 ml buttermilk
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the lettuce thoroughly and tear into bite-sized pieces. Cut the streaky bacon into pieces and fry them in hot olive oil until crispy. Add the sour cream and buttermilk and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper. Chop the chives and add them. Pour this hot sauce over the lettuce and mix well. Serve with boiled potatoes sprinkled with plenty of dill. Note: This is best eaten in a deep plate with a fork and spoon. The first few bites are a bit unusual – but believe me, once you’ve taken three bites, you won’t stop until you’re about to burst.
