Oat flakes and quark sticks

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 220 g oat flakes, wholegrain
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 8 g baking powder
  • 120 ml water
  • some salt
  • 60 g mixed grains of your choice, possibly more

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Mix the water and quark with the salt, oats, and baking powder thoroughly. It should be a slightly sticky, not too dry mixture. Let it swell for about five to ten minutes. Place the seed mixture, e.g., sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, finely ground oats, and chia seeds, on a flat plate and set aside briefly. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven). Line two baking sheets with baking paper. Roll the dough into not-too-thin sticks, about 15 cm long. This works best with fairly wet hands. Then roll them directly in the prepared seed mixture until they are covered. Place them on the baking sheets, leaving some space between them. Bake in the oven for about 20 to 30 minutes, until the dough reaches the desired browning. Let cool and store in a container. The sticks are ideal for taking with you in a lunch box or lunchbox.
