Quark doughnuts for gourmets

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g sugar
  • 350 g flour
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 300 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • some powdered sugar, or sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the sugar, flour, vanilla sugar, and baking powder thoroughly. Then stir in the quark and eggs thoroughly. Mix well until a firm, sticky dough forms. Heat the deep fryer to 160°C. Using two tablespoons, shape the dough into small balls. Place them in the preheated deep fryer and fry, turning constantly, until golden brown. Remove from the fryer and let drain. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or sugar, depending on your taste. Tip: Briefly dip the two tablespoons into the hot fryer beforehand to make the doughnuts easier to handle.
