Fried Maultaschen with balsamic vinegar and cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 Maultasche(n) , from the refrigerated section
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preheat a pan. Cut the Maultaschen into approximately 1 cm wide strips. Halve the onion and slice into strips. Finely chop the garlic. Heat the olive oil in the pan and add the Maultaschen and onions, frying to taste. Add the garlic and sauté briefly. Deglaze with maple syrup and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper and let it simmer slightly. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the pan. Cover and let the cheese melt. Sprinkle with chopped parsley or herbs, if desired, before serving.
