Instructions

  • First cut 250 g of dates into small pieces, then mix with the chopped nuts and hazelnuts. Then stir in sugar, melted butter and honey.
  • Separate eggs. Whip egg yolks with vanilla sugar and 1 tbsp orange juice until creamy. Carefully mix the date mixture into the egg mixture, then add the starch.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff and carefully fold them into the mixture so that the dough stays fluffy.
  • Grease a round springform pan and pour in the batter. The cake is first baked in a preheated oven top-bottom heat at 200 degrees for 15 minutes. Then switch down to 180 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes. The cake must not get too dark! Let the cake cool down and remove it from the mold.
