Vegan nut nougat spread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g marzipan paste
  • 100 ml almond drink or soy drink
  • 60 g hazelnut nougat raw mass
  • 100 g dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes

Nutella alternative, nutty, delicious, simple

Roughly chop the marzipan and mix it into the almond or soy milk in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Turn off the heat, add the hazelnut nougat and the dark chocolate coating, melt it into the hot mixture, and mix well. Pour the mixture into a sealable container, e.g. a screw-top jar, a preserving jar, a Tupperware container, etc., and let it cool and set. The spread tastes best when it’s left to rest for a day, hence the resting time – but it’s not necessary. The finished spread is enough for about 20-30 slices of bread, depending on how thick you like it, and has about 390 kcal/100 g. The calorie information below refers to one of 20 servings. Important! The ingredients do not have to be specifically labeled as vegan when purchased from a health food store; many brands are vegan in themselves and can be found in any well-stocked grocery store in the baking ingredients section. If in doubt, check the list of ingredients on the packaging.
