Potato chips from the deep fryer

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g potato(s), waxy
  • 2 tbsp seasoning mix (chip salt)
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Crispy!

Heat the oil in the deep fryer and set the appliance to “potatoes” (180°C). Wash and trim the potatoes, then slice them directly into the hot oil, as they would otherwise stick together. Slice them as thinly as possible to ensure they are really crispy! Fry the potatoes for 3-5 minutes, then remove them and let them cool on kitchen paper. Then fry for another 2-3 minutes. Be careful they don’t get too brown! The second frying ensures they are really crispy! Put the potato salt and cayenne pepper in a large mixing bowl. Place the chips on kitchen paper again to prevent them from becoming too greasy. Then add them to the mixing bowl with the salt and mix everything well.
