  • 6 potatoes, whole, with skin
  • n. B. Salt, coarse

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 17 minutes

Wrinkled potatoes from the steamer bag

Wash the whole potatoes and place them together in a microwave steamer bag, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Cook in the microwave according to the specified time guidelines (e.g., medium-sized potatoes in a steamer bag for approximately 7-10 minutes). In the meantime, fill a pot with water, bring to a boil, and then drain. Leave the pot on the hot stovetop. As soon as the potatoes are tender, add them to the pot and sprinkle generously with coarse salt. Continue cooking in the pot until the skins are wrinkled, turning them several times. The potatoes are particularly delicious with a dip, such as aioli, mojo, cream cheese, or herb curd. But these salty wrinkled potatoes are also a delight on their own.
