Microwave baked feta

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g feta cheese
  • ½ onion(s), cut into strips
  • 1 small garlic clove(s), finely diced
  • some tomato paste
  • 3 small cocktail tomatoes, halved
  • 3 basil leaves, finely chopped
  • some pepper
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 9 minutes

quick and easy

Place the feta cheese on a suitable plate and spread with a little tomato paste. Arrange the diced garlic on top, then the sliced onion, then the basil leaves and cherry tomatoes, and season with a little pepper (salt isn’t necessary, as the feta cheese is salty enough). Drizzle a little oil over the feta cheese and microwave for 4 minutes at 600 watts. The time depends on how you like the feta, as well as the microwave power. For me, 4 minutes at 600 watts works best. Note: This recipe is based on the instructions for topping the feta cheese in the recipe photo. You can, of course, top it with whatever you like. I often omit tomato paste, frequently top it with olives, add other herbs, other spices, etc. I’ve even topped the feta with tuna. Everyone can top it with whatever they like best.
