Baby porridge with egg yolk – from 6 months

Wash the potatoes and carrots and peel them with a vegetable peeler. Cut the carrots into even slices. Cut the potato lengthwise down the middle, then place the cut edge on a board, cut it lengthwise again, and cut it into even slices. Simmer the vegetables with a little water (just enough to cover the vegetables). When the carrots and potatoes are soft, puree them with a hand blender, including the cooking water. Separate the egg using two cups. Stir the egg yolk into the porridge, whisk vigorously with a wooden spoon, and bring to a boil again. Let the porridge cool slightly and stir in a teaspoon of corn oil just before serving. The baby is now ready to be fed.
