Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 100 g butter
- 100 g sugar
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 500 g low-fat curd cheese
- 80 g soft wheat semolina
- 1 large can of peach(s)
- Butter for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
sweet casserole for those with a sweet tooth
For a casserole dish measuring approximately 28 x 18 cm. Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Drain the peaches well and cut into wedges. Beat the egg whites with the whisk of a mixer until stiff peaks form and set aside. Also using the whisk, beat the softened butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Gradually stir in the egg yolks. Finally, stir in the quark and then the semolina. Finally, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites by hand with a whisk. Fold in the peaches, pour everything into the buttered casserole dish and smooth out slightly. Bake the casserole on the middle rack of a hot oven for approximately 50 minutes. Cover with parchment after about 30 minutes to prevent it from overcooking. Delicious hot or cold.
