Polenta and curd casserole with apples

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 50 g corn semolina
  • 500 ml milk
  • 60 g sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 500 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 2 apples
  • some lemon juice
  • possibly cinnamon
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

First, prepare the polenta. Bring the milk to a boil and slowly stir in the cornmeal and sugar. While the polenta is simmering, cream the butter until fluffy, then combine it with the eggs, quark, and lemon juice until fluffy. Once the polenta has cooled slightly, carefully fold in the quark mixture along with a finely diced apple and pour everything into a baking dish. Spread the second apple over the mixture, if desired, or stir it into the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at approximately 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 40-45 minutes. 430 kcal per serving.
