Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 m.-large cauliflower
- 500 g minced meat
- 1 pack of bacon cut into strips
- 4 slices of cheese of your choice
- 1 onion(s)
- some salt and pepper
- some paprika powder
- 1 egg(s)
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
First, remove the leaves and stalks from the cauliflower. Then, cook the entire head in salted water for 10-12 minutes. In the meantime, season the minced meat and add the diced onion. Drain the cauliflower head well and place it stem-side down in a baking dish. Spread the minced meat mixture over the cauliflower head, pressing it down lightly. Arrange a layer of bacon slices all around the cauliflower and layer the cheese over the bacon slices (top only). You can also choose minced poultry, low-fat cheese, or low-fat bacon slices. Cook the bomb in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 30-40 minutes (depending on the thickness of the minced meat layer).
