Smoked pork with garlic for the buffet

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 800 g smoked pork chop, boned
  • 10 cloves garlic, peeled and cut into thick strips
  • Water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 cloves

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Pierce the meat with a sharp knife and stud with garlic. Bring water with the bay leaf and cloves to a boil, add the meat, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes; do not boil any longer. Place the meat in a roasting bag, seal it, and cook in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 50-60 minutes. Let it cool and, if desired, carve it for serving. It’s perfect for a buffet. I got this recipe a long time ago from a French chef who made it for a friend’s party.
