Using leftover sauerkraut

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 handful of spring onions or leeks
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • 1 tsp, leveled caraway powder
  • some salt
  • some pepper, from the mill
  • some chili salt or chili powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Tear the drained sauerkraut into pieces with a fork and, if necessary, trim it with scissors to make it bite-sized. Chop the onion coarsely or finely, depending on your preference. Finely chop the green part of the spring onions. Deseed the bell peppers and chop them into large pieces. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and season with caraway, salt, pepper, and chili. This salad will keep in the refrigerator for a few days.
