Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 steak(s) (neck steaks)
- 2 m.-sized onion(s)
- 4 cloves garlic
- Sea salt, coarse, from the mill
- Black pepper, freshly ground
- olive oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 10 minutes
Crush the garlic and mix with 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Rub the neck steaks with the garlic-oil mixture and season well with salt and pepper on both sides. Slice the onions into rings and layer them alternately with the steaks in a sealable plastic container or similar container. If there’s any oil left, you can add it to the container. Let everything marinate for at least one night. Remove the onions from the steaks and grill as usual. The marinade seems very simple, but sometimes less is more. These steaks taste great and are always a hit with our grill guests.
